Minutes of the meeting of the Management Committee held in the Vidyalaya Premises on 21-07-2017 at 10-30am.

 

1.      Welcome to the members of the Management Committee.

At the outset the Principal, on behalf of the Chairman extended warm welcome to the members of VMC.

2.      Review of the minutes and pending issues of the previous meeting held on 28-02-2017.

The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and action taken by the Principal on various decisions was conveyed to the Members. One pending issue was brought to the notice of the Chairman and the Members.

Pending Issues:

Approach Road to the Vidyalaya Main Gate from Telangana Thalli Statue: The Chairman and the members were informed by the Principal that there is no progress on the construction of the Approach Road to the Vidyalaya main gate.

The Chairman enquired the matter from the Tahasildar and MPDO, Khammam Rural about the progress. MPDO has given the information that the approach road to the Double Bedroom Flats was sanctioned and will be taken up within one year along with the connecting road to K V Khammam. The work will start as and when the funds are released.

3.      Brief of the Academic Activities in the Vidyalaya.

The Principal and the Member Secretary submitted a brief report on various academic activities that are going on in the Vidyalaya such as;

a)      New initiative “Back to basics” was started by KVS from this academic year to ensure that every child achieves the Minimum Levels Learning.

b)      New pattern of examination was announced by CBSE and the same was intimated to the children. A General Body Meeting of the parents is planned in the last week of July/First week of August to create awareness among the parents.

c)      Three more Digital classrooms with Apple i-pads and Apple TV will be set up shortly to add to the 10 available already.

4.      Board Examination results for the session 2016-17.

The Principal and the member secretary presented the Board Results in classes X & XII to the Chairman and the members. The highlights of the result are as follows.

a)      The Vidyalaya has secured 100% in both classes X and XII for the last two years continuously.

b)      32 students secured 10 CGPA in class X, the highest in Hyderabad Region in terms of percentage of students securing 10 CGPA in class X.

c)       Eventhough the Vidyalaya secured 100% in class XII, the performance index is the lowest in the Region.

d)     Action plan ready for classes X & XII for securing 100% result and improvement in quality of the result.

5.      Achievements of the students in various activities.

Ku. Mahita Varma of class X applied for patent for her invention of producing paint from Thermocool. She was one among the 3 students who visited three CSIR labs in Hyderabad (CCMB, IICT and NGRI) during the first week of July 2017. The other two students are Ku. Vidyasri and Ku.    

6.      Staff position and the number of vacancies for which contractual arrangements have been made.

The Chairman and the members were informed by the Principal that the Vidyalaya appointed 26 teachers to fill the vacancies, apart from other miscellaneous contractual appointments such as German Teacher, Sports Coach, Nurse and Yoga Teacher. It was also informed to the members that there is a possibility of getting some regular teachers during September 2017, after the annual transfer process for the regular teachers.

7.      Change of Teacher Member and the Parent Members in the VMC.

The Chairman and the members were informed that the Teacher member and the Parent member will be changed on rotation basis every year. Mrs. Nidhi Malhotra and Mrs. K Swapna have completed more than one year in the VMC. The Chairman and the members have thanked both the Teacher and the Parent members for the services rendered by them during their tenure as members of the VMC. The Chairman was informed that the proposal for the replacement of the parent and teacher members will be sent shortly.

8.      Alienation of land and Permanent Transfer/Lease Deed of the land allotted, in the name of Kendriya Vidyalaya.

The Principal and the member secretary brought it to the notice of the Chairman, that the Land allotted to Kendriya Vidyalaya was not alienated to the KVS till date. It was informed to the Chairman and the members that the State Government issued a “No Objection Letter” for starting the construction. The Principal requested the Chairman for early alienation of the land in the name of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. The Chairman enquired the status from the Tahasildar and directed the Principal and Tahasildar, Khammam Rural to complete the alienation process on priority basis.

9.      Measles and Rubella Vaccination through District Medical and Health Office for the Students in the age group of 9-15 years.

The Chairman and members were informed by the Principal that the Vidyalaya is supposed to take up the vaccination programme for the students who are below 15 years of age, as per the directions of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. The Chairman informed the members that vaccination will be taken up shortly by the District Medical Health Department. No separate efforts are required from the Vidyalaya.

10.  Approach Road to the School.

The issue of approach road was discussed under the pending points.

11.  Any other point with the permission of the Chair.

No point was raised by the Members and discussed.

1.      Welcome to the members of the Management Committee.

At the outset the Principal, on behalf of the Chairman extended warm welcome to the members of VMC. The new members were introduced to the Chairman and other members.

 

2.      Review of the minutes and pending issues of the previous meeting held on 28-02-2017.

The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and action taken by the Principal on various decisions was conveyed to the Members. One pending issue was brought to the notice of the Chairman and the Members.

Pending Issues:

Approach Road to the Vidyalaya Main Gate from Telangana Thalli Statue: The Chairman and the members were informed by the Principal that there is no progress on the construction of the Approach Road to the Vidyalaya main gate.

The Chairman enquired the matter from the Executive Engineer, R & B, Khammam Mr. P Dhananjaya about the progress. The Executive Engineer informed the Chairman and the members that the Government GO may be issued within the next one month’s time for the approach road to the double bedroom flats. The Chairman assured the members that the work will be taken up once the G O is issued and the tendering process is completed.

 

3.      Brief of the Academic Activities in the Vidyalaya.

i)                    Sports and games have been conducted for the secondary students and participants for the KVS National Sports Meet have been finalized.

ii)                  Children have participated in Science Congress, Social Science Exhibition, Tritiya Sopan Testing Camp and various other competitions conducted by KVS.

iii)                First Term examinations and tests have been conducted for the children of classes 3 to 8. Pre-Mid, and Mid-term tests were conducted for the classes IX & X. Unit tests and Half Yearly exams were conducted for class XI.

iv)                Monthly tests are conducted for class XII and the details of performance and the attendance of the children are being sent to KVS Regional Office on a monthly basis for review.

4.      Achievement of the students in various activities.

One student Master Ch, Abhilash participated in the SGFI meet in Swimming. The project of  Master Vamshi was selected for KVS National Children Science Congress held in Dehradun.

 

5.      Staff position and the number of vacancies for which contractual arrangements have been made.

The Chairman and the members were informed by the Principal that there is improvement in the staff position with the joining of 17 teachers on direct recruitment and three teachers on transfer. The vacant posts have been filled with contractual teachers. There is no break in the academic work except for the posts of TGT Hindi, and the post of PGT Commerce where children have suffered for one month without teacher.

 

6.      Change of Teacher Member and the Parent Members in the VMC.

The members have been informed that the Chairman approved the nomination of both the parent members as replacement to fill the vacancies created by the transfer/completion of studies of the child/completion of tenure. Accordingly Mrs. G Sujatha and Mr. Devendra Prasad have joined the VMC with immediate effect.

 

7.      Alienation of land and Permanent Transfer/Lease Deed of the land allotted, in the name of Kendriya Vidyalaya.

The Principal raised the issue of land alienation proposal sent to the Tahasildar, Khammam Rural Mandal and requested the Chairman, VMC to direct the concerned to expedite the matter. The Chairman informed the members that the proposal was examined and the revenue department is in the process of clearing the proposal.

 

8.      Staff Sanction proposals for the session 2018-19.

The members were informed that the staff sanction proposals have been sent to the Regional Office, Hyderabad without any modifications by retaining the sanction for the year 2017-18 as it is for the year 2018-19.

Later on it was felt that the commerce stream is not required as the strength is very low and it was decided in consultation with the Chairman, VMC to surrender commerce stream and accordingly the proposal was sent to the Deputy Commissioner. As per the revised proposal the Vidyalaya will not have XI standard in Commerce Stream from the session 2018-19. Consequently, one section in class XII (Commerce) will be closed down from the session 2019-20.

 

 

9.      Any other point with the permission of the Chair.

i)                    Mr. D Murali Krishna, Assistant Director, who represented the District Education Officer raised the issue of Adhaar Link up of the students. The Cahirman, VMC requested the Principal to complete the adhaar link up of the students. The Principal assured the Chairman that the needful will be done.

ii)                  The Chairman raised the issue of Medical Checkup and enquired from the Principal about the status of medical checkup of the students. The Principal informed the members and the Chairman that the medical checkup was done twice this year. The Vidyalaya completed the checkup in the month of August and again under the scheme of RBSK second checkup was done in November. The Chairman was informed that there are no major medical issues with the children and the minor issues have been brought to the notice of the parents by the Nurse available in the Vidyalaya.
